Subject: One of the lucky few
Got in late but had the same equipment as this but
I was stuck in last row of balcony. Somebody had snuck in about 4 or five of full size nitrous tanks - each 4 feet tall! I noticed that my recording had more hiss than all the other shows we made with the same gear that tour. My guess is those tanks were on the whole show and were making there own hissing!!!
What a great show too - the best of the east coast tour, hands down.
I don't know if it was the nitrous but I doubt many remember much of this show - I know I don't!
Thanks as now I have the whole show now.
As for the recording, well it was 1976 and not too many cassettes existed yet, and the mics are modest, to say the least.
All and all a good AUD recording for the era.
Subject: Quite the run at the Beacon
I never thought I'd hear shows where Donna was a plus to the band, but she is note perfect on tune and in harmony on Cassidy, LLR, Let It Grow and The Wheel. A great companion to the soundboards.
These were heady dates, in a fabulous hall. I saw Chick Corea and Return to Forever there that same summer.
